Apple: global failure of the blinds is complete. Internal cause … – ZDNet France

Wednesday’s day was very long at Apple. For more than 12 hours, the App Store, the iTunes Store, iBooks Store and the Mac App Store were
“Inaccessible for all users.” The incident began shortly before 10 am.

The incident is global and particularly affects
services in the United States, Canada, Australia, UK, India, Switzerland,
Spain and France. ID Services and iCloud email
 are also affected.

In the late afternoon (around 18h), the
situation remained critical for all services except for iCloud. At 20 am (Paris time), apple deign to communicate. Questioned
CNBC, the group apologizes to its
 users.

Apple briefly explains the fault finds
origin in an internal problem of DNS addressing, without further details. He added that his
teams work to ensure that services return earlier than the
normal. But at this point, the blinds were always planted.

To
8:45 p.m. GMT, all services affected by the outage were operating at
 new
normally, according to the official page on the system status
Apple. The incident has lasted more than 12 hours, a first for
Apple. The apple has yet not provided information
 additional.
