The first administrative bottlenecks websites accused of advocating terrorism and offer child pornography content were activated this weekend. Five sites are currently involved. Two other warnings exist, one announcing a page ” containing child pornography images “, the other a ” illegal content “, without further details.
Islamic-news.info is no longer accessible, even from abroad. Twitter account linked to the site has also been suspended. His Facebook page the other hand was still active Monday morning and its Internet address had not been de-listed from Google.
The other four sites seem always accessible Monday night on some ISPs.
The role of service providers
To activate these blockages, the Central fight against crime related to information technology and communication (OCLCTIC) begins with a list of sites to be suspended and demanded their withdrawal from the manufacturer or their host, when the -C is known.
Simultaneously, the Interior Ministry send it to the service providers the French Internet. They have twenty-four hours to make the redirection of users to these warning pages. The site has a right of administrative appeal.
A very critical device
