MWC: Android smartphones and Windows Phone Acer

As every year, the Mobile World Congress is the perfect opportunity for manufacturers to unveil their new products. Acer Taiwan is no exception to the rule with a new range of Android smartphones and (that’s a first) on Windows Phone.

The latest additions to the range are the Z Z220 and Z520 two entry-level smartphones displayed to particularly aggressive respective price 89 € and 119 €.

From entry level Android …

With Liquid Z520, Acer puts forward mainly capabilities for photo and particularly for selfies his smartphone. We find an 8 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash. Moreover, there are some pretty interesting features like to achieve with the help of a voice command selfies without touching it. From a more technical point of view it has a 5-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, a quad core processor clocked at 1.3 Mediatek GHz supported by 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.

… and Windows Phone

Acer also took the opportunity to unveil its first smartphone on Windows Phone. Here there is no talk of Windows 10 but simply an entry-level smartphone cheap. The M220 is for the Windows 8.1 Z220 Android. The technical specifications are comparable. With a 4-inch display, a 5 megapixel camera on the back and 2-megapixel front. Importantly, this model should logically go under Windows 10 when available.
