If Google had already ventured into mobile payments by launching, in 2011, Google Wallet (which had encountered reluctance of telephone operators , Ed), this time the mastodon web development on an Android Pay allowing users to any smartphone running Android store the contact details of their bank cards, their vouchers or their loyalty cards.
The followers of Android Pay will no longer need to then present them at the time of checkout in shops, where they use their smartphone instead.
This new service, uses NFC technology, was announced earlier this year and is an immediate response to Apple Pay, a similar system deployed in October by the Apple brand for iPhone users. Pay Apple was launched in the US, before being recently extended to Great Britain.
