Russian Gennady Padalka The returned to Earth on Saturday with two other astronauts on the International Space Station ( ISS ). It is now the man who spent the most time in the space with 879 days cumulative in five missions.

His first space flight had taken place in 1998, when he left the planet for a long-term stay (199 days) on the Russian space station Mir. His fifth trip had meanwhile started on March 27.
“I feel good,” he said after his historic return, sitting there drinking tea and munch an apple, surrounded by leaders of the Russian space program.
