The latest figures reveal that ANFR operators continue to deploy their 4G antennas and Free Mobile is still the most active in this area.
The National Frequency Agency (ANFR) comes publish its figures for the month of August. The first observation is that all operators continue to deploy their 4G antennas. All operators are however not as active as Free Mobile.
With the installation / activation of 197 new antennas, Free Mobile is the operator who is the most active. Its 4G antenna farm now stands at 4455 facilities.
With over 116 antennas, Orange is the second operator in terms of facilities. The operator now counts 7811 active 4G antennas.
With only 37 branches more than in July, Bouygues Telecom is significantly less active than the two previous operators. It now has 6728 branches. In order to finish, SFR up the rear in terms of facilities with only 19 new branches for a total of 3431 sites.
While SFR was made catch up and surpass by Free Mobile in terms of number of 4G antennas, it does not seem to be the forcing to not stay behind. Unlike Free, it is still worth remembering that SFR uses the 800 MHz frequency band that carries further than the 2600 MHz used by Free Mobile.
