Apple disables its current application in China – Le Soir

The computer giant has probably turned off his application on the territory of the People’s Republic to avoid having to submit the application content to censorship.

The live information Application News, launched by Apple this fall in the US, does not work in China, reported several testimonies collected by the New York Times . It can not yet be installed on a US iPhone, but once downloaded, it continues to operate overseas. – Except in China

Asked by the US daily, the Cupertino would not comment on this information. The NYT notes, however, that Chinese law requiring operators to work with the censorship of the regime, it is likely that Apple has preferred to simply disable the application in the territory of the People’s Republic to avoid have to submit the application content to censorship.

China has become the second largest market for Apple, as its iPhone and IAF experiencing significant commercial success.
