The PlayStation 4 price drop in Europe – Le Figaro

Sony had already lowered the price of its console in Japan on October 1, and the United States on October 9. A similar announcement for Europe was therefore expected. Many thought that it would take place during the great Sony conference, scheduled on October 27 on the sidelines of the exhibition Paris Games Week. Tour priority to the European market, the conference should be an opportunity for Sony to unveil new exclusive titles for its console.

The transition from PlayStation 4-349 euro is bad news for Microsoft, loses one of its competitive advantages. Launched to 499 euros, its Xbox One soon had to adjust its tariff at the success of the PlayStation 4. The latter has sold over 25 million copies worldwide, while Microsoft remains discreet about his own figures sale, estimated at ten million copies passed.

To distinguish the shelves at the end of the year, the US will rely on his catalog of exclusive titles, including the game shooting Halo 5 , or the new adventures of Lara Croft, Rise of the Tomb Raider . This title, however, will arrive on the Sony console, but not before the end of 2016. In the US, the price war is in any case launched. On the occasion of Black Friday, some stores already offer xbox one with two sets ( Gears of War Ultimate Edition and Fallout 4 ) and two controllers for $ 300.
