Smartphone: HTC insists in the high end with the One A9 – ZDNet France

HTC always tries to resist in a highly competitive market where smartphones are less popular. The brand
 Taiwan has published very poorly
for the second quarter. Revenues fell to 1.04 billion
against $ 2.05 billion a year earlier. The group accuses a net loss
253 million while he exuded a profit of 71.4 million
 dollars a year earlier.

If the manufacturer is trying to diversify its revenue by positioning the segment objects
connected in particular with the augmented reality headset Vive, smartphones remain a priority. And although HTC has put forward a ”
demand lower than expected in the premium segment “, he seems to want to insist on this land with the presentation of the One A9 successor One M9 presented at the last Mobile World Congress.

As usual with HTC, the new 4G smartphone enjoys a rather successful design, a nice thin (7.2 mm) and the use of noble materials such as glass and metal. It has a 5-inch screen protected by Gorilla Glass glass 4, Full HD, a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 617 supported by 2GB of RAM, 16GB of memory of storage, all led by Android 6.0 decorated with the overcoat HTC Sense. The battery rises to 2150 mAh.

Like many of its competitors, this device relies on the quality of decision views with a main 13 megapixel sensor with dual LED flash and a front panel sensor Ultrapixel for selfies. There is also an optical stabilizer, and a pro mode that allows taking his photos in Raw format. Security side, One A9 features a facade in fingerprint sensor.

Available in France in November, the smartphone will be priced at 599 euros (399 dollars against the US), it which can appear quite expensive given the specifications.

So we can
wonder if this new evolution of the One will manage to draw his
own in a segment crushed by Apple and Samsung. Operators will they play the game to highlight this new?
